ENVIRONMENT DAY

To encourage worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment, World Environment Day was celebrated on 5th June 2023. This year the theme of World Environment Day was ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’. It reminds that people’s actions on plastic pollution matters. It is time to accelerate the action to reduce plastic pollution and transition to a circular economy.

The program started with the tree plantation at the hands of faculty members and students.

YOGA DAY

“Yoga is a light, which once lit, will never dim. The better you practice, the brighter the flame.”

International Yoga Day is observed every year on 21st June to create awareness about the ancient practice and to celebrate the physical and spiritual prowess that yoga has brought to the world. On 21st June 2023, the students of Mahatma Vidyalaya celebrated International Yoga Day with great vigour and enthusiasm, with the theme, “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, effectively encapsulating our collective aspiration for ‘One Earth, One Family and one Future’. Students from classes Kindergarten to 10th took part in the celebration. 

INDEPENDENCE DAY

we desire for our country is happiness. Let's salute our great nation on its Independence Day! We are so grateful for the freedom we have and are proud of the nation we were born to! Mahatma Vidyalaya, proudly celebrated the 77th Independence Day on 15th August’2023. A beautiful programme was put together by the students.

KRISHNA JANMASHTAMI

Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu. According to the Hindu calendar, this festival is celebrated on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksh or the 8th day of the dark fortnight in the month of Bhadon. 
To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated at Mahatma Vidyalaya on September 7th 2023 with mirth and joy. The fragrance of flowers, soothing aroma of camphor and the jingle of bells filled the air. The students dressed up as lord Krishna and Radha, complete with flutes, peacock feathers.

KANNADA RAJYOTSAVA

The Rajyotsava day is the state festival of Karnataka and is observed on November 1st every year. The day is celebrated to commemorate the birthday of Karnataka as the state was formed on this day. Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated in Mahatma Vidyalaya with gusto, joy, and vigour on November 1, 2023, by our kindergarten children.

ANNUAL SPORTS DAY

On 25th November Mahatma Vidyalaya organized its Annual Sports Day Event. The day was filled with a lot of excitement, along with thrills, spirit, and cheers. All the students were very excited about the day, and the activities that were going to be carried out throughout the day.
The day started off with the flame lighting ceremony, followed by the march past all four houses (Blue, Red, Green, and yellow house). There were many sports events that were carried out parallelly, which included Relay, Kabaddi, Volleyball and some others.

ANNUAL DAY

The annual school day is the most anticipated event of the year to break the monotonous schedule. It is an annual event held by schools to showcase students’ talents, remove stage fear, build self-confidence, and teach teamwork. It helps students to build confidence, develop personalities, and express their opinions. It is also one of the ways to discover hidden talents in students.

MAKARA SANKRANTI CELEBRATION

It is a harvest festival celebrated in South India. Sankranti is perhaps the only Indian festival that falls on the same day every year (14th January).
Makar Sankranti is celebrated with different names and customs in different parts of India. The festival is known as Lohri in North India, Makara Sankranti in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, Magh Bihu in Assam, and Pongal in Tamil Nadu.
As part of the celebrations at school, the students had a great time flying their kites with varying degrees of success and clay pot painting.

FAREWELL DAY

The management hosted a grand farewell for the students of Class 10 on 4th February 2024.
The students dressed in their finest, sure grabbed attention. The girls looked radiant attired in their uniform sarees while the boys looked smart in their crisp, meticulously black trousers and white shirt. The teachers received the outgoing students with warmth and affection, while the parents who were also part of the celebrations, watched on with a sense of pride.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of mementos by the esteemed members of the Governing Body. It was a momentous occasion as some students were honored with the title of the best outgoing student, acknowledging their exceptional contributions and achievements.
